Notes and Ideas Pt. 2

Tree notes I took after some research:

  1. ok, good start! So if I want to create a character for this illustration/story, I might take the word "Germ" for example, and start breaking that down even further. How big? What color? What is the shape? How does it spread? Anything that comes to mind about a germ. Even simple impressions... gross, miserable, sick. That may led to other words like thermometer, doctors office, medicine, vaccine. I might take the word gross. What color is gross? How big is gross? How does gross stand? I might also do some quick research about a germ or virus to learn even more. Looking for any unexpected nuggets of information might inform me to help me create a unique character? I might even take a different word like Flu and explore that.....

  2. Essentially you want to take one of these ideas and bring it to life. What is the story you want to tell visually? Ask yourself a bunch of what if questions: What if your focus is just a gross and menacing flu virus character looking at the reader of this article? What if the contaminated door knobs, utensils, and ketchup bottle are threatening characters (because they are contaminated) and they are looking at the viewer of the article? What if these menacing germy characters are battling the hand sanitizers, latex gloves and flu shot? What if the germs are battling the precautions?
